About this section
A page for every German mission in the Arab world — nineteen of them — built from each embassy’s own site on diplo.de rather than second-hand sources. Each page carries the full address, consular and visa opening hours separately, and how appointments are actually booked, which differs sharply between missions: Amman books free through the embassy’s own system, Cairo and Rabat through TLScontact, Manama and Doha through VFS Global. Each page also states the geographic jurisdiction, the detail applicants get wrong most often: Cairo covers residents of Syria, Libya, Yemen and Sudan in defined cases, while Baghdad covers central Iraq only and the north falls to the consulate in Erbil.
